Life is S L O W .......

And I LOVE IT!

Because I know in several weeks time I would have WISHED like anything that I had of relaxed these last few weeks, and regretted not doing it, so do I feel guilty for not doing much? NUP!

Im finding bits and pieces to do with Kaylee, we tend to spend ages on the floor (yeah, ouch!) colouring in, or doing puzzles, playdough, or flash cards, today's activity consisted of tidying up the lounge, lmao, Kaylee did it all on her own, I just told her what to do! few more months of this and I will have a housekeeper all ready and waiting! lol she really enjoyed it, and every time she put something away would clap and cheer and say "We did it! yay!" ahhh mean mummy making my 2 yr old do housework! Kaylee just loves feeling included, as long as she has her own little job (like in the bathroom the other day, I was washing the windows and basin, and Kaylee had her own cloth washing the tiles around the bath) she is happy, and 'just like mummy!'

We had a pleasant weekend, Darryl worked Saturday so Kaylee and I went to the in-laws farm for a visit, as much as it was pissing down and horrible weather, it was nice to get out of the house, my SIL was there with her 2 kids and the 3 kids played, MIL and I went and got Pizza for lunch, just nice and relaxed. well... kind of.... hehe

Darryl finished work around 2.30ish so we met him back at home and went out to Mitre-10-Mega, we were on a lawnmower mission, we have had everyone's hand me down lawnmowers since we met, (Darryl just fixed them up and they worked not a prob!) and its been GREAT not having to buy one, but since the last one went "nunga nunga nunga CLUNK pssssss" the next one we got loaned, just SUCKED, and I really got sick of the useless lawnmower person that we were paying $20 a time for, so I made an executive decision and Lawnmower shopping we did go! SHIT those things are expensive! holy poos! we were looking at the wrong end at the start and gawking at the farkin $1800 for a lawnmower! we didnt like much of what we saw at Mitre-10-mega in the end, (price wise!) so went into the cafe there for a hotchoc and pottered around collecting small bits and pieces that we needed. I bumped into someone I knew at the checkouts too, just as Kaylees having a tanty (lasted about 15min!!!!!) because she didnt want to go back in her pushchair, and she had to, no questions asked! so unfortunately I couldnt talk long, im sure my face was burning, lovely daughter!

Then onto Mitre-10 (not mega, hehe) to see if they had anything different in the lawnmower section, you wouldnt think so being the same business, but they did! even all the prices were different! so we found something suitable at a more reasonable price, but of course, its raining, and the lawns are still, as yet, unmown (GRRR!)

im finding at the moment, that maybe that "nesting" instinct is kicking in, i cant remember having it with Kaylee (I think where i lived had something to do with it, as did my emotional state of mind), so its all a bit new to me, especially how emotional i get at little things that need doing, just seems so overwhelming! i think i will feel SO much better once the back yard is cleaned up, then i can start using it again and feel nice about going out the back! just need fine weather to do it in though unfortunatly!

Sunday we all woke up early, and decided instead of lying around in bed watching What Now (hehe) we might as well do something, so we went into Westfield Henderson and did some more shopping, i brought my first Maternity Bra this pregnancy (have been using the ones from Kaylee, SUCH the wrong size!) but what cracked me up, is that i dont consider myself to be THAT BIG (ive seen a lot bigger pregnant woman out there!) but i got the BIGGEST maternity bra in the shop! Darryl was amazed at that, i was a bit too, um hellooooo bigger ladies get pregnant too! but now i have a general idea of what size i SHOULD be wearing lol, one bra shop i went into didnt even sell maternity bras.... weird....! we also found a gorgeous wee outfit for baby, will probably use it as her "coming home" outfit, we have Kaylees first outfit all kept in her "special box" along with a NZ Herald from the same day as her birth and also the Herald where Kaylees (and Amelias! and Avas! hehe love having friends with babies exactly the same age!) birth announcement is in, and other Kaylee memorabilia that we keep adding to it! so we will have a "special box" for baby too, as an adult i love looking through my old baby books, first school books, drawings, etc, and these boxes will be gifts for our girls on their 21st birthdays, to hopefully show to their children too. but yes, got a very sweet outfit for baby, one more tick off the list!

My Sister (Adele - 17) is coming to stay with me for the holidays, she hasnt said how long she will be up for, but it will be great to have her, shes off to Uni next year (either Palmerston North or Christchurch) so it will be the last holidays for a while that she can spend with us, we have said to her that we will pay her to be our housebitch for a week, lol just to get out and do things with Kaylee that im finding hard to do and help me with cleaning etc around the house, it will be nice to have a hand! My Mum and other sister (Belinda - 14) are coming to stay for a few days as well, prob at the end of the first week, one last catch up with Belinda too, as she will be going to live with my Father at the end of the school holidays down in Wellington. so im very much looking foward to having them all come to stay, i know Kaylee LOVES the attention she gets! VERY spoilt! its just great! works out VERY well actually as Darryls mums surprise birthday is on the 30th and we were all worried about babysitters for Kaylee and my neice and nephew, the person we had in mind hadnt got back to us yet, Mum and Belinda have kindly volunteered, for FREE! hehe such a weight off my shoulders knowing that they wont have any probs with the kids and will be able to feed them and get them into bed not a problem!

Im off shortly to Neurolink to have my hips hopefully fixed (put back into place), i cannot wait for the aromatherapy massage afterwards, just devine! and i also cannot wait for the good nights sleep i will be getting tonight, hot bubble bath and bed i think, so a bit of a pamper afternoon ahead for me! cant wait!

I have baby boxes for the boys too - we have the jar of baby food they first ate - first blanket they were wrapped in, the dummy, and even a newborn disposable - the boys love going through it.

We also keep the 1st page of the newspaper on every birthday - so they can see how things have changed through the years:)

How're the hips feeling now? Hope they're heaps better!!

Lawnmowers are bloody expensive aye, we HP'd ours at Farmers a couple of years ago on one of their interest-free deals. Didn't work out much more expensive than paying the blokes to come and do it, and made me feel better about spending all that money!
