BLOODY DOGS!!!

Grrrrr, yesterday was a bit of an upside down day really! All started with a text i received around 10am from Darryl telling me he was at the A&E and waiting to be seen for a dog bite!!

He was at a job up Henderson Valley, and getting ready to leave when he heard screams for help from a woman, he ran to the road and saw at another farm (very well known establishment up Henderson Valley, with a cafe and farm animals etc) a woman who was visiting said well known farm, with her child, had let her dog out (Pitbull) for a run, in a paddock full of sheep and cows!! and what does the pitty do? latches on to a sheep and wont let go, attacking the poor thing, so Darryl made Tara (our beautiful dog, tragedy if she had of got involved) stay back at the ute, and ran across the road to pull the dog off the sheep, he pulls the dog off, dog bites him on both legs, he only thought it was one leg for a while, THROUGH his thick cordery jeans! NOONE from the said farm came out to help, they would have definatly heard the cries for help from the woman if Darryl did all the way across the road, and when a guy finally did come out, hes following the sheep around slowly, basically watching it bleed and seeing how it was! Darryl said he didnt seem concerned that a dog had attacked the poor thing, and when Darryl walked past him, bleeding from his wounds, he ignored Darryl, WHO had just saved their friggin sheep! the guy also didnt acknowledge the silly woman who let her dog out into the paddock, (if it was my business i would want reperation and damages!) the woman was of course extrememly shaken up and my lovely kind hearted husband, as much as he wanted to lay into her and tell her what a dumbass she was and what the hell was she thinking, and the silly dog needed shooting etc, just helped her get the dog in her car and told her to go home, he thinks that that shook her up enough and he didnt want to add to it because she still had to drive with a child in the car.

soooo back he heads to Henderson to get seen to, he had a tetnus shot, which he said hurt soooo much more than the bites! and is on Antibiotics for a week. he definatly does not want to get an infection! he was also pissed that he has now broken his "record" lol he hasnt been to a doctor for yearrrrs at least the last 5-10! never since i have known him! but of course he gets patched up, and carrys on working! i was SO worried and i told him i wanted him home so i could look after him! but nooooo lol he was fine, he just wanted to carry on working!

he gets home around 5pm last night, lol a little bit of pride in his war wounds, but blardy scary, those dogs can KILL a person, tear them to shreds and usually they dont let go, they hold on and shake, can cause huge damage, Darryl only got puncture wounds.

So i cooked him a lovely meal of comfort food! lol Crumbed schnitzel with Thai seasoning in the crumb (real bad for you, fried in oil! i very rarely cook this because its fried and fatty!) Mashed potatos (yep with butter and milk!) and steamed corn, brocolli and carrots, lol that made his night! there was a heap of fat in this meal! lol

so after dinner i popped off to a friends Prenzel party, yummmmmm lol i would have LOVED to have tried the liquors and schnapps, but of course i kept well away from them, was a good evening though, a few people got a bit tiddly on them, im looking foward to my garlic oil and vinegarette to arrive, yummmmmm it was lovely to get out on my own, to something completely NON kid related with ADULTS and no children at all, soooo nice! im going to try to get out as much as possible before baby comes, and Darryl completely agrees and is quite happy to come home early sometimes to help out with Kaylee so i can go out, im getting back into scrapbooking, i havent done any since December and so every 2nd Wednesday night i will be out of the house, im very much looking foward to it.

lol just had a lovely Kaylee related incident, i though, ok i will sit Kaylee down with her breakfast (this is at 8am) and i will post on my blog, means she is happy watching tv and eating, and i get a few minutes to myself first thing, lmao, she got tooooo quiet with her Rice Bubbles, yoghurt and milk..... she had them everywhere! all over the floor, all up her arms, down her legs, in her hair, her face was covered, she had smeared it into her little table and chairs, it was everywhere! little bugger! so a big cleanup has just happened and a wee talk about WHY we use our spoon and not our hands.... yeah VERY messy!

anyway as we have had a pretty busy week, something on every day, we are going to stay home today, have been invited out, which i politely declined, i think it will do Kaylee well this week to have a day at home, have a good afternoon sleep and get geared up for the weekend, Darryl is working both Saturday and Sunday, so im going solo for 7 days this week :( but money talks at the moment and we are so proud of ourselves for all the bills we are paying. feeling a bit lighter in the pocket, but a lot lighter in the stress department! (business wise!)

my pregnancy is going well, im getting bigger and bigger every day it seems, lol but its quite nice to know im well over half way now and i have been finding some gorgeous items 2nd hand on trademe, for the fraction of the cost new. ahhh i love trademe! lol just have to find some more stuff to sell so i can spend some more money! lol

Oh poor Darryl!! Keep an eye on those puncture wounds - I got bitten last year and even though it was only puncture wounds for the first day, MASSIVE bruises came up the next day and lasted for over 2 weeks, every colour of the rainbow!!

I'm sure the lady with the dog would have learnt her lesson, but I probably still wouldn't have let her off so easily!!

LOL at Rice Bubbles, sounds like she had fun with her breaky!!

Well, it sounds like he was really lucky to get off with just the wounds that he did...

There's not many people who'll help in situations like this anymore. By the way, that dinner sounded scrumptious - send me some over by 6pm??

Poor Darryl, lets just hope that horrible dog doesn't do that to anyone else........silly women should have known better.

I am also a trademe fan (big time), I have sold a few things in the last couple of weeks and am hunting around the house for more stuff to sell.......LOL

I have also just read your last post about Kaylee being, shall we say, a bit trying at the moment.
Your not alone honey, Adam is also at that stage and it has gotten so bad that we just don't take him out in public (horrible parents ah?) as it just isn't an enjoyable experience. They do grow out of it as Reece (nearly 5) went through the same stage and grew out of it eventually....chin up.

Oh poor Darryl! I bet he liked the attention and comfort food, hehe. I am SUCH a trademe addict! I love it. So many things, for so cheap. Hehe. Good to see your pregnancy is progressing well!
