Theres no going back now!!

we have actually had to keep overalls on Kaylee the last 2 days, just because we havent been home, and there would be no way we could toilet train her when we are out all of the time, im shit scared of her weeing in the middle of the shops! so we are doing Nappies while out and undies at home, and so far, we are doing O.K! she has only done a teeny wee on the loo before holding on again, i think it freaked her out, then once i got the pullup back on she let go, i think its the security of having something around her bum, and if there isnt the security of it there she gets a bit scared. but of course it was a huge deal for doing wees on the loo (even though it was just a trickle) and she enjoyed her lollipop! (which we have now changed to an M&M as lollipops are just too big!) but we havent had a repeat performance yet but thats ok, i know its a slow process. she seems SO proud of herself while wearing undies, its very cute! She is a lot happier sitting on the loo than she is on the potty, so we are just keeping it up with the loo, makes her happier and we want to keep it all as positive as possible.

we have had a nice weekend, just busy, which has made me pretty tired, but its also been a productive weekend and apart from Kaylees room (which needs a total uphaul and sortout!) which she loves to re mess every day! the house is spotless, its great! with Kaylees room, we will be spending a bit of time on it, dismantleing the cot and giving it a good clean in preperation for the new baby, setting up the cot in our bedroom, setting up the bed for Kaylee to go into and sorting her toys and clothes out properly, so thats a WHOLE weekends work... maybe next week!!!

we had friends over to dinner last night, i cooked a roast chicken, and lots of veggies and they brought home made Apple Pie and icecream, YUMMMMMMM it was SO good!

Tomorrow im hoping to be able to pop out and visit Kate (is that still ok mate?) that is of course unless she is otherwise engaged with a much more important appt! (you never know!) and then im going out to Karaka on Tuesday morning to visit my friend who had her baby boy a couple of weeks ago, then Mum will be out sometime in the afternoon staying for a couple of nights, it will be nice to have some advice on the Toilet Training, shes done it enough!!!

Darryl and i are working through all our options in regards to the baby being born, we are actually thinking of maybe going out to Birthcare in Parnell, which is a lovely small maternity hospital, and when you stay you are only in a room with one other person and you share an ensuite, (you can pay for a private room and ensuite, but that is $300 a night!!) which im a lot more comfortable with than last time at Waitakere i had to walk forever to get to a loo that i shared with god knows how many others, and after birth, well, lets just say the less people you share a loo with, the better! there are so many discusting people out there, i would hate to know what their houses look like.... and we have decided that i really do need to stay somewhere for a few nights to get as much help as possible with breastfeeding and careing for the baby, i found last time i was just left on my own (others have had great experiances at Waitakere, i just did not, and i had a slack midwife as well which didnt help) i just think that as long as i can get as much support and help as available to me this time then i may have a better go at things like getting breastfeeding properly established etc. but as i said, we are just working through our options and what is available to us :)

just thinking outloud really! :)
